Slides

Slides, like film, are the highest possible versions of the original images we can digitize. These are often mounted in cardboard or plastic sleeves to be used in a slide projector. We can scan just the image, or the image with the sleeve which often has information written on it or both.

If we are just scanning the image and not the image with the sleeves, we will still lay out the slides in a "contact" print format and take a photo so that the information on the sleeves can be retained.
